What we carry & how it works

UV-C light (254nm) has been used for decades in hospitals and water treatment to neutralize pathogens. Handheld wands bring that same technology home — useful for immunocompromised patients, busy households, and anyone who wants an extra layer of cleanliness.

All items in this category are billed through Medicare, Medicaid, or your private insurance when eligible. Self-pay flat pricing is also available — ask during your DME request.

Common questions about uv wand

Is a UV wand covered by Medicare?

UV wands are generally not covered by Medicare or commercial insurance, as they're considered preventive household devices rather than medically necessary DME. We sell them at flat retail pricing.

Are UV-C wands safe to use?

Yes, when used as directed. UV-C light should never be pointed at skin or eyes. Our wands include safety sensors that turn the bulb off when flipped over.

Does UV-C actually kill germs?

Properly designed UV-C devices at 254nm can inactivate many bacteria and viruses on surfaces after sufficient exposure time. Effectiveness depends on distance, time, and the target pathogen.
